Help Support Pillow Pets™ for Jacob

Last week, Silly Monkey blogged about an inspiring friend to Pillow Pets™ – Jacob McConahay, who is working towards a goal of collecting 1,000 Pillow Pets plush animals for sick kids at Riley Hospital. The most amazing part of the story is that Jake, himself, is battling cancer. You can read the full story here.  CJ Products, the makers of Pillow Pets plush animals, heard about Jake’s heartwarming and selfless efforts and have committed to match the number of Pillow Pets he collects. Jake already has several hundred Pillow Pets donated from people across the United States. CJ Products has also just announced a special program for anyone who would like to purchase Pillow Pets at a discount to donate to their local children’s hospital in Jacob’s name.  This program allows individuals or groups to purchase Pillow Pets by the case (Pillow Pets by the dozen!) for $180. This includes shipping and provides the discounted rate per Pillow Pet™ plush animal of $15. There are 12 Pillow Pets plush animals in each case. For further information, or to donate, please send an email with “Donate for Jacob” in the subject line to kathy@mypillowpets.com. We will respond to each email individually with details on how to make the donation.

I heard Jacob’s story on K-Love and felt the strongest desire to fulfill his wishes and to participate in his worthwhile efforts but on a local level. We are purchasing pillow pets to take to Pitt Memorial Hospital and our local Onslow Memorial hospital to patients who need something to hug. Would love to purchase by the case…thank you for your support as well!!

  3. What an amazing story. I was searching on google for something else and came across your blog. Started reading and had to post a comment about such an inspirational story. Good for you Jacob!

  4. With a Pillow Pet starting as a its strap can be fastened to transform the pet into a stuffed animal and unfastened to restore it back to a pillow. They are also machine-washable..When Pillow Pets were originally devised by Jennifer Telfer in 2003 she decided to them through her company CJ Products.

This is an amazing story. I was on youtube and saw a video of a girl who heard about this story on the news i think and she wanted to help too. So she started collecting them for a hospital and she collected over 100 pillow pets and she donated them to her local hospital and I think she also gave one to Jacob McConahay
